My name is Bob (a.k.a. Notorious B.O.B). I have been a musician since 1978 (yes,
I am old...). I picked up a guitar when I was 14 and I never stopped playing. I
started a band in high school with my brother Chris and started playing the bass. I
then played in several bands in the upstate New York region over the next several
years and was able to make a living doing it full time from 1982 to 1984 (then I got
a real job!). My musical influence has come from some of the greatest rock and roll
bands of all time. Led Zeppelin, the Stones, Aerosmith, Skynyrd, Rush, Eric
Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Muff Otter to name a few (trust me,
the list is much longer). My musical taste is eclectic to say the least. I joined
Decades in 2009 after meeting Len, Decades original singer, (actually, he was my
boss and he made me do it). I played my first show with them after two practice
sessions (not enough in my opinion – trial by fire!). It was fun to get back into a
band after almost 18 years. I kept my skills sharp by playing every day and I have
a bunch of camping buddies that also play. We would sit around the campfire,
drink a few beers and entertain the campers for hours. Music has always been a
part of my life and always will be. Thanks to the guys in the band for letting me join
them and special thanks to my wife Michelle for signing my permission slip (who
loves ya baby!).
